Tots Class Descriptions (ages walking – 5.75)
All of our tots class run in our "Jungle Gym", a space made just for our youngest gymnasts. Filled with age & size appropriate equipment, this room is ideal for focused learning for our little ones. Our tot's class curriculum is based on age appropriateness, rather than individual skill based. We highly recommend you sign your tot's gymnast up for the most age appropriate class. There will likely be a degree of skill difference in each class. Our wonderful tot's coaches are custom to coaching up or down to a particular kiddo's ability, within any given class. We find classes run smoothest for everyone involved when little ones are in age & developmentally appropriate classes, with their peers!

Lil Shots: 2.75 years to 3.5 yrs
Lil Shots is the next step in progression for our little gymnasts. Parents are welcome to sit in on the class if their child is more comfortable but it’s common for little ones to participate on their own. It’s our hope that by the end of the session, children are participating on their own. Adults are always welcome in our Tots Gym viewing area during class. This class has 30 minutes of structure and like our Tumble Tykes class offers free admission to the Playmania following the class. Lil Shots has a class ratio of 5 to 1.

Recreational Class Descriptions (ages 5.75 – 12)
All of our recreational classes for students ages 5.75-12 years old run in our main large gym. The classes are skill appropriate, meaning students move up as their skill level progresses, not their age. Students will use the floor, bars, beams, vault and trampoline, in class. All of our classes have weekly lesson plans and rotation to ensure the appropriate amount of time on each piece of equipment.
Lil Beginners
Our Lil Beginners class is an intro level class, most appropriate for students ages 5.75-7 years old who have little to no formal recreational gymnastics training.

Intermediate
This class is best suited for kids who have some formal recreational gymnastics experience. We continue to improve our basics and move forward to more complex skills on the bars, beam, vault and floor. More conditioning and stronger stretches are added at this level to ensure the strength and flexibility to perform these skills. *It is very common for athletes to be remain in this level for several sessions, or longer as the skills they must master begin getting more complex

Pre-Team
This is an invite-only level where skills and consistency will be taken more seriously as to prepare for our competitive team one day. PreTeam meets 2 days/week. We will be continuing working on the basics of tumbling, with our round-offs, back handsprings, and front handsprings, along with sharpening up our floor skills already learned like our cartwheels, handstands, and back walkovers. On vault, students continue working on the front handspring vault and on bars we begin putting together our bar skills and moving onto kips and undershoots. Students will begin focusing more on correct form and consistency of skills. PreTeam is a prerequisite for our competitive team.
Masters
This level is designed for gymnasts who have progressed beyond our Advanced level but may not be quite ready for the commitment of our PreTeam program or may not have aspirations of being on our competitive team, but still want to continue their recreational gymnastics journey. Masters athletes must display higher level skills and the focus necessary to be successful in a more rigorous gymnastics environment. They will be held to the same standard as our PreTeam athletes but will only be expected to practice 1 day/week. Masters is not considered a feeder program for our competitive team. Students may transfer from Masters in to PreTeam whenever they would like (pending class space availability).

Kids age 10 and under are required to have participated in ours or another gym's rec gymnastics program, at least up to the Intermediate level.
Tumbling Development
This class is designed for kids with previous tumbling experience that are looking to further develop their abilities. We will be setting specific tumbling goals for the session. Great class for cheerleaders, dancers and gymnasts who are looking to advance their tumbling to the next level. Previous tumbling experience required to attend this class. *Please Note: Athletes must have previous experience in our Intro to Tumbling class or to come in and pass our skill baseline assessment in order to participate.
Competitive Team

The skills required for competitive team are far more advanced than in our recreational classes and it may take some athletes a couple/few years of Advanced & Pre-Team recreational gymnastics to perfect the skills, strength and flexibility necessary for our competitive team.

Monthly Class Tuition Policy
Enrollment is always open! You may enroll in classes any time (pending availability).
Tuition is billed monthly and auto-charged to your card on file on the 1st of each month. Your first month’s tuition will be pro-rated, based on the date you register. After that, you will pay the same tuition amount, each month on the 1st. Please note: declined cards on file must be updated by the 15th of current monthly billing period or class enrollment will be dropped.
Monthly tuition remains the same each month, regardless of holidays or number of weeks/classes that month. COGA is closed for classes a total of 4 weeks/year (mirroring the Bend La Pine public school closures; 1 week over Thanksgiving, 2 weeks for winter break and 1 week for spring break) Classes will run the remaining 48 weeks/year, which is equal to 4 classes/month. While the number of class days in any given month may vary, you will be getting an average of 4 classes/month on this annual schedule. We occasionally close for 1 day holidays (memorial day, 4th of July, etc). If your child’s class falls on a 1 day holiday closure you will be eligible for a make up class, to be used within 30 days of closure.
You can drop your enrollment any time. Simply fill out a drop class request form on our website by clicking the "Drop Class Request" button at the bottom of the Enrollment page. Drop requests must be submitted on or before the 15th of the month prior to your drop. Any drop forms received after the 15th will be processed and you will still be billed for your last month’s tuition on the following 1st.
Please note:
Level Assessment & Advancement
Recreational Gymnastics Classes: Your child’s coach will constantly be assessing their gymnasts for readiness to advance to the next level. We are looking for baseline, level specific skills, flexibility, consistency, attitude and responsibility level. Kids progress at all different speeds and we work hard to match our coaching with each child’s needs and ability. Your child will remain in the same level until their coach assesses that they’re ready to advance. When it’s time, your child’s coach will present our gymnast with a graduation certificate. This certificate makes them eligible to advance to the next level. COGA staff will then help you find a class day/time that meets your needs. If space is unavailable in the class of your choosing, your child will be placed on a short waitlist and their coach will continue to challenge them and coach up to their abilities in their current class day/time until space is the next level is available.
Tot’s Gymnastics Classes: Our tot’s classes are primarily age-specific, rather than exclusively skill based. Please plan to register your child for the most age-appropriate class. If your child’s coach assesses that they would benefit from moving to a different class we will discuss that with you directly.
If you have questions about any of these policies, level requirements or other general questions, please let a staff member know. Thank you!
